About Rob Gronbeck, BPsych(Hons)
Founder, The Brain Room | Cognitive Performance Specialist

Rob Gronbeck is a trailblazer in the field of cognitive training and sports psychology, with over a decade of experience helping athletes sharpen their focus, decision-making, and mental resilience under pressure. As the founder of The Brain Room, Rob has been at the forefront of Australia’s performance psychology revolution—bridging neuroscience and elite sport to give athletes a mental edge when it matters most.

In 2014, Rob became the first person in Australia to invest in NeuroTracker, a groundbreaking 3D multiple object tracking system used to train attention, awareness, and processing speed. Now trusted by dozens of professional sporting teams, research centres, and clinics around the world, NeuroTracker remains a cornerstone of Rob’s cognitive training methodology. His early adoption of this technology positioned him as a pioneer in cognitive-perceptual training, years ahead of its mainstream acceptance.

Rob’s approach blends sport science precision with psychological insight. Drawing from his Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree, he applies principles of progressive overload, measurable progression, and neuroplasticity to train the brain like any other high-performance system. From junior athletes seeking an edge in school and sport, to professional players competing on the world stage, Rob has helped clients across all levels unlock their potential through targeted brain training programs.

Whether in-person or remote, Rob’s work continues to set the standard for modern cognitive development in sport. At The Brain Room, he empowers athletes not just to perform, but to train the one thing most people neglect—their brain.
